Well who would have know that today would be the day i realize how lucky i, along with the rest of my family are. No we did not win the lottery, yet a meir misfortune could have taken our personal belongings from us. I just recently got home this afternoon from work and picking the kids up. Little to my surprise i opened the door of the apartment and well, it felt rather warm to me but we have been having slight problems with our air conditioners anyways so the only one i leave running while we are gone is the one in the kitchen which is where the heat was coming from.
So i assume that the air conditioner finally took a poop on us and was just blowing out hot air. But the heat was extreme, so as i further investigate i realize that somehow this morning while Craig and myself were getting ready to leave for work, and yes i will blame him for this one, but he was strapping on his under armour bag with all of his lifting gear in it and his over sized lunch box that is over the shoulder also. Must have bumped the burner knob and turned the large burner on high, ALL DAY LONG this thing has been on. I just checked the thermostat and it read 82 degrees. Now we both left around 7 this morning. And it is officially 6:08pm. That is a little less than 12 hours this burner has been running on high.
If you don't think that is luck, then i think you are crazy. Honestly, our apartment and the business below should be a little pile of dust and burnt brick. Again, i guess from here i thank god that he did not take what little we do have.
And we are also asking for donations on our next electric bill. Make checks payable to Oak Harbor Utilities, Just write broke ass and idiot in the memo area and they will know to post it directly to MY account. Just kidding!!!!!!!! LOL
Anyways, all joking aside, just wanted to make everyone aware that we are extremely lucky nothing serious happened, and just when you feel like nothing can go your way, something like this makes you realize that god is always on your side and works in mysterious ways. No he didn't bring me the hundred billion dollars i have been asking for for like the last 15 years but he left us our home to continue to raise our boys in. Thanks...............
boys, boys, boys......
